The New Book from Kathy Vines:
“Clever Girl’s Guide to Living with Less:
Break Free from Your Stuff,
Even When Your Head and Heart Get in the Way”
is now available on Amazon in Paperback and Kindle.
I’m writing to share that my first book, Clever Girl’s Guide to Living with Less: Break Free from Your Stuff, Even When Your Head and Heart Get in the Way, is now available in paperback and on Kindle on Amazon!
My readers won’t be surprised that I’ve been working on a book that was inspired my some of my posts on the philosophical topics like the psychological and emotional barriers people have when trying to let things go. These barriers are what comes up when you try to make a difference in the clutter and chaos around you and keep finding you can’t let things go, saying, “I might need it someday” or “But this is still good” or “I’d feel guilty” or “I paid good money for this”. How will Clever Girl’s Guide to Living with Less help?
- The first half of the book dives into the eight most common barriers I come across with clients, helping people understand why they exist, what triggers them to show up and get in their way, and how to work around or dismantle them.
- The second half of the book applies the “why” and turns into a “how” — how to tackle five really tough categories with which people tend to struggle: Clothing, Books, Photos, Memorabilia/Collections, and Paperwork.
If this sounds like you or someone you know, and you think some fresh perspective on helping understand what’s really going on underneath the struggling can help, I hope you’ll keep this book in mind! Clever Girl’s Guide to Living with Less was published in paperback and on Kindle on July 4th, 2017.
The Kindle version will be available for $2.99 for the first 30 days (after that, $8.99). The paperback will be $14.99. If you do check it out, I hope you take a moment to share a review on Amazon!

Writing this book has been an amazing experience! I’m grateful to the many members of Clever Girl Nation who supported me along the way. I’ll be sharing another post in the future about how I brought this book to life. Not surprisingly, it’s an exercise in understanding motivation, focus, and productivity!
I hope you’ll check out the book, and let me know what you think! Leave reviews or message me through the website or my Facebook page. I’d love to hear from anyone who has had an “A-ha!” moment, or anyone who finds this book to have given them the motivation they needed to move forward on a clutter issue that had previously stumped them. Please do share!
Thanks, and Happy Independence Day!
