The 2027 Clever Girl Organizing Challenge

Make room for the life you’re living now.

You don’t need an empty calendar or a sudden burst of motivation to start making your home work better for you. Sometimes, you need a place to start, a manageable plan, and people who’ll help you keep going.

Join the 14th annual Clever Girl Organizing Challenge, a guided online decluttering and organizing program with weekly assignments, practical strategies, and a supportive community, all led by Certified Professional Organizer® Kathy Vines.

10 weeks · January 4–March 14, 2027 · $69

Participation requires email and membership in a private Facebook Group.

Your life changes. Does your home keep up?

Maybe your closets, cabinets, and counters have gradually filled with things you no longer use. Maybe your household, routines, or interests have changed, but your stuff (and the systems around it) haven’t.

Or maybe you know exactly what needs attention. You’ve just had a hard time getting started, making decisions, or finishing what you begin.

The Challenge gives you time and structure to look at what you have, what you need, and what’s getting in your way. Together, we’ll work toward spaces that are easier to use, maintain, and enjoy.

What you’ll get

A weekly plan delivered to your inbox

Each Monday, you’ll receive that week’s organizing focus, practical assignments, questions to guide your decisions, and ideas for making your systems work better.

A private, supportive Facebook community

Ask questions, share progress, talk through sticking points, and get encouragement from people doing this work alongside you. Before-and-after photos are a favorite, but sharing them is ALWAYS optional.

Weekly videos with Kathy

We’ll explore the week’s topic, including the habits, emotions, and “but what if I need it someday?” moments that can make letting go difficult. Watch live when offered or catch the recording when it works for you.

Zoom working sessions

Make time on your calendar for “Declutter with Kathy” sessions and additional “Get Shxt Done” working sessions. Bring your project, settle in, and use the shared time to make progress.

What we’ll work on

We’ll move through your home over 10 consecutive weeks and we’ll be tackling the Kitchen, Dining Room, Bathroom, Linens, Clothes and Accessories, Home Office and Paper, Memorabilia, Kids Stuff, Hobby Stuff, and much more!

You’ll choose priorities based on your home and your goals. There’s no requirement to tackle everything on the list; the Challenge is meant to SUPPORT you!

Just got an hour?

That counts.

Each week includes a “Just got an hour?” option: focused work you can take on when your time, energy, or needs call for a smaller scope.

You might work on one cabinet, a paper pile, or a category that’s been getting in your way. You don’t have to complete every assignment to benefit from the Challenge.

Some weeks you’ll go deeper. Other weeks, an hour will be what you have. You can adjust as you go.

First time? Coming back? You belong here.

New Challengers can follow the weekly topics and build their decision-making skills along the way.

Returning Challengers can refresh spaces, revisit systems, and explore the deeper questions that come up as life changes, or work on those bigger projects they’ve been avoiding (we call them Scary Spaces!).

What participants say

“This provided the structure and motivation I needed to make a big difference in how I feel about my living space. Guidance from Kathy and inspiration from others were a perfect combination to get things done. I would not have seen the same results if I had attempted to do this on my own.”

“I’ve tried many decluttering challenges in the past. This is the first (only!) one that has worked for me. The combination of emails, lives and most importantly, the Facebook Group, was hugely motivating and inspiring. Seeing others make progress, and share it in the Group, encouraged action and, for me, accountability too. I’ll be back next year!”

Hi, I’m Kathy, also known as Clever Girl

I’m a Certified Professional Organizer® and the founder of Clever Girl Organizing. Since 2013, I’ve helped people work through the practical and emotional challenges of organizing their homes.

I’ll help you ask useful questions about your things, understand what makes decisions difficult, and build systems that fit how you actually live.

And yes, I do the Challenge, too.

The community is my favorite part: watching people share an accomplishment, recognize an old habit, or discover that a decision they’ve been avoiding finally feels possible.

A few things you might be wondering

Do I have to use Facebook?

Yes. The private Facebook group is a required part of the program and where much of the interaction, support, and video content takes place. You can participate without posting photos or sharing personal details publicly within the group.

Do I need to attend everything live?

No. Weekly videos are recorded so you can watch later. Zoom working sessions are optional opportunities to reserve time and get things done together.

What if I miss a week or fall behind?

Pick up with work that makes sense for you. You don’t need to finish one week’s assignment before participating in the next. This year runs for 10 consecutive weeks, without a scheduled break. But if you fall behind, the group remains available after Week 10 – it’s a forgiving model, Kathy promises!

Will I have to get rid of things I want to keep?

You make the decisions. I’ll help you examine what your things mean to you, how they serve your life, and what keeping them costs in space, time, and effort.

Is this only for people with a lot of clutter?

No. You might be facing overflowing spaces, tuning up systems, or working toward a particular goal. Your home doesn’t have to look a certain way for you to want it to work better.

Start the year with a plan… and some company. Sign Up by January 3rd!

Choose what needs attention. Make time for manageable work. Get support when the decisions get sticky.

The 2027 Clever Girl Organizing Challenge starts January 4.
